Hi, there!
I’m thrilled that you’ve found your way to my blog. My name is Hannah and I’m a 25 year old German girl, who fell in love with travel at an early age. As a result I’ve visited 36 countries as well as lived & worked on three continents (Europe, North America, and Asia). Needless to say that I’m obsessed with cultures and foreign languages!
Some of my other favourite pastimes include reading books, cooking, various forms of artistic expression, going to concerts, yoga, running, and hiking. My friends would describe me as a brave, bit nerdy, a smart-ass, very loving, emotional, mostly responsible yet eccentric, positive-minded and full of energy. I should also mention that I’m very value driven, an environmentalist, and vegan.
I have also been an avid road tripper for many years. For instance, I remember driving through the Canadian Rockies with my sister and sleeping on a blow-up mattress of our rental SUV. On another trip, we took her little Fiat 500 on a trip through Scandinavia, sleeping in a cheap tent next to the car. Both of these were some of the best trips of my life! However, I knew I would need a slight upgrade at some point. So in 2020 I finally fulfilled my dream of buying a vintage VW T3 van from 1986 and have been traveling around Europe with it ever since. In November I volunteered at a Greek dog shelter and – who’d have thought? – I adopted a dog that will be my companion on my future travels.
Why did I create this blog? That’s an easy answer: The “Vanlife” has brought me such immense happiness and I realise how many people are curious about it. I am eager to share my experiences on what this lifestyle has to offer and what it is teaching me. My aim is to inspire you to follow your intuition and live bravely, instead of letting your fears limit your life. Most importantly, I want to remind you of the importance of sustainability and the benefits of living more mindfully.
Check out my recent blog posts, which you can find below, for heaps of value and inspiration. New content is being added each Sunday! If you’re curious about what I’m up to in the meantime, I regularly update my Instagram @exploringrelentlessly with daily insights on my adventures as well as photos from my travels with Ronnie (the dog) and Rita (the van).
